Long before agrihomoeopathy had a name, Camilla Sherr was already practising it. As a homoeopathy student in the early 1990s, she reached for Arnica when plants in her garden were damaged - using the same knowledge that guides a homoeopath to using Arnica for bruising in a person. It seemed obvious. Plants have a vital force too.
That instinct stayed with her through decades of clinical practice, humanitarian work, and teaching. But it was a trip to Kenya that turned a quiet intuition into a life's work.
Camilla Sherr, PCH FSHom
Founder, Beyond Organic School of Agrihomoeopathy
"I wanted to meet Vaikunthanath Das Kaviraj -- one of the true pioneers of agrihomoeopathy. So I invited him to our pan-African homoeopathy conference in Kenya. He arrived with his book and his remedies, and that was the beginning of everything."
From that meeting came years of dedicated study, fieldwork, and experimentation. The first major test was a coffee farm on the slopes of Kilimanjaro -- a full conversion from conventional to chemical-free growing using agrihomoeopathic protocols. It worked. Word spread. More farms followed.
Since 2011, Camilla has been pioneering agrihomoeopathy in East Africa and beyond working with farmers, smallholders, and growers across multiple countries, training practitioners, and building a body of practical field knowledge that has no equivalent anywhere in the world. In May 2025 she published Beyond Organic: Homoeopathic Plant Health from the Ground Up -- the first book in a planned trilogy and the most comprehensive practical guide to agrihomoeopathy available. The second book, focused on pest management and weather emergencies, is in progress.
Background
Camilla graduated from the Finnish Institute of Homoeopathy in 1994 and undertook post-graduate study in London (Dynamis School for Advanced Homoeopathic Studies) from 1995 to 1997.
She is a Finnish citizen, based in Moshi, Tanzania and teaches internationally across Europe, Africa, and Asia.
In 2009 she co-founded Homoeopathy for Health in Africa, a Tanzanian NGO that has served over 15,000 people across the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions. She has completed two full homoeopathic provings -- Scandium and Honey -- was awarded her FSHom fellowship by the Faculty of Homoeopathy UK in 2016 and served as President of the Finnish Society of Homoeopaths from 2020 to 2024. She co-directs the Dynamis School for Advanced Homoeopathic Studies, the longest running post-graduate school in the world, with her husband Jeremy Sherr.
Our Story
Camilla has been teaching Agrihomoeopathy for years in many webinars and seminars.
I suddenly realised that there is a real need for an Agrihomoeopathy School. Even homoeopaths don’t really know what they are doing and why. I want to empower every gardener and farmer to make use of this amazing system that will help us create clean environments and healthy crops!
This school exists because the knowledge exists -built over more than a decade of real fieldwork on real farms, in real conditions, across multiple climates and continents. What Camilla teaches has been tested in drought, in flooding, in pest pressure, in diseased soil, and in the particular challenges of farming in East Africa where the stakes are high and the resources are limited.
The goal of Beyond Organic School is simple: to put that knowledge in the hands of every grower and homoeopath who wants it, wherever they are in the world.
